8) EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE IN 2007
Just after purchasing, the ship was moved from Trieste to the shipyard in Chioggia (Venice) where some structural maintenance works were carried out as follows:
Sandblasting (type SA 2.5) of the full body and superstructures
Thickness of the plates of the entire body and of the tanks bulkheads was carried out
Few plates were replaced
Simplification of the loading lines network and full replacement of the remainings
Disassembly and reinstatement of all loading valves; many of them were replaced. The others were opened, retified and/or renewed if necessary and pressed.
Disassembly and reinstatement of shaft propeller, propeller, intermediate shaft and thrusthbearing.
The main electrical panel together with the electrical system located in the engine room were completely replaced.
A new overloading alarm of the steering gear was installed
The main engine was replaced with a new Cummins system (reversible w/o stoping – reversing the rotation)
A more powerful diesel generator was installed in the engine room. The new equipment recharges the entire battery system and feeds a second pump (back up) of the rudder system
Fully repaired as flws :

In 2007 the Barge was completely restructured and main structural maintenance have been:

Sandblasting (type SA 2.5) of the full body and superstructures
Thickness and plates substitution
Simplification of the loading lines network and full replacement of the remainings
Disassembly and reinstatement of all loading valves; many of them were replaced. The others were opened, retified and/or renewed if necessary and pressed.

The bunkervessel GIN is now trading in bunkering in Italy,

Trading IFO 180 and IFO 380 as well

She is single hull but fully repaired and according owners in very good condition (They spent 500.000 Euro in the repairs).

now trading under a national certificate and can go from shore only 3 miles, but owners are pretty sure, they will be able to get her under RINA class again, which would give her 20 miles offshore.

In case she will be classed with Rina, than she will have 20 miles allowance, but the dwt of the vessel must than be reduced to 500 Mtns, so in that case she can only have a DWCC of abt 550 Mtns. (under Italian flag!)

The vessel is now allowed / trading as 1500 tons dwt vessel, due to this national trading .

She has no boilers or coils.
In case vessel must be classed with RINA, than SAT C equipment must be installed.

Owners are pretty positive abt RINA class possibilities, because vessel has always been trading between Italy and Albania in bunker service.

Inspection can be arranged
Price 450k Euro
